Figure Drawing

TALINE KAVOUKIAN

The more I draw, the more I enjoy drawing. Why the figure? We know it, live in it, breathe it. We feel it in our observations. It is endlessly variable, yet always recognizable. And… it’s us!

  1. I find figure drawing so important, even though I don’t often do representational art. I can’t think of anything better for learning how to SEE, both what one is drawing, and what is happening on the page. Everything comes out of the tension between those two very different things.
